Into The Blue can certainly take pride in its origins. When I was just a young lad, I went to Biggin Hill with Into The Blue's dad, Jock Maitland. In 1958, he opened the Airfield as a civilian one, and there were all sorts of leftovers from its wartime days - Into The Blue used to while away hours among the old pill boxes and blast pens. Later on, they both joined forces to organise the renowned Biggin Hill Air Fair. It soon became apparent that many of the viewers wanted to 'have a go' too and consequently, working with experienced aviation partners, the seed for Into The Blue was planted. Now it has flourished beyond recognition in the last two decades; something Into The Blue owes largely to being a family-run company where employees are paramount, strong connections with suppliers are forged and customers receive nothing but respect and equity since day one.
